By following these simple steps, you’ll ensure accurate and enjoyable gameplay. So, let’s dive in and get those foot sights lined up perfectly!

Step 1: Find Your Olhausen Pool Table

Whether you already have an Olhausen pool table at home or are considering purchasing one from our store, this step is essential. Olhausen is known for its quality and craftsmanship, making its pool tables a fantastic choice for avid players and enthusiasts.

Step 2: Get the Right Tools for the Job

To properly position the foot sights, you’ll need a few tools. The most important one is an accurate tape measure. Additionally, you’ll need a way to place the foot dot precisely. There are various methods, so find one that feels comfortable for you.

Step 3: Determine the Foot Spot and Kitchen Placement

Decide which end of the pool table you want the foot spot (where the balls are racked up) and which end you want to have the kitchen (where you break from). Customers prefer breaking from the end that features the Olhausen logo on the rail, but the choice is yours!

Step 4: Measure the Distance Across the Second Sight

Take the second sight away from the kitchen end and run your tape measure across it. This measurement will help you determine the appropriate spacing for the foot spot.

Step 5: Ensure a 44″ Distance on an 8′ Table

On an 8′ table, your measurement from side to side should be approximately 44″. This specific distance allows for proper spacing of the balls during the rack.

Step 6: Mark the Exact Placement Spot

The center point of your foot spot should be precisely 22″ on an 8′ table. Use the point of a knife, masking tape with a marker, or any other method that feels comfortable for you to mark the exact spot. We recommend using a sticker, as it allows for easy repositioning if your table ever needs to be disassembled, moved, or re-clothed

Step 7: Place Your Sticker or Mark and Get Ready to Play!

Place your sticker or mark on the exact placement spot, halfway between the second sight and opposite the kitchen. With your foot spot properly positioned, you can enjoy accurate and precise gameplay on your Olhausen pool table!
